Posted May 12, 2016

The U.S. Green Building Council has officially recognized ClearChem™, Berkeley Analytical’s program for manufacturer’s self-declared product claims for low VOC emissions. ClearChem is now listed as approved for first-party claims in USGBC’s updated table of approved LEED v4 EQ Credit Low-Emitting Materials Third Party Certifications and Labels.

ClearChem is designed specifically to support manufacturer’s claims for LEED v4. It provides manufacturers with an alternate pathway to certification for demonstrating the compliance of their products to the Low-Emitting Materials credit. In addition to VOC emissions, the ClearChem declaration includes TVOC range and the required information for paints & coatings and adhesive & sealants about VOC content regulatory compliance, use of banned chlorinated solvents, and product coverage. Use of ClearChem is offered free of charge to Berkeley Analytical’s VOC emission test customers.
